Ford launched a heavy metal solo career after the band broke up in 1979. After studying voice, Ford released her solo debut album "Out for Blood" and followed it up with "Dancin' at the Edge". Ford went off the world of music for some years following both albums failing to make it into the charts. In 1988, she returned to the spotlight with the album that became a huge hit "Lita". the single "Kiss Me Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were both big hits. Unfortunately, her success was short-lived as she disappeared from the music industry for many years. She re-emerged after the release of her album "Black" in the year 1995 followed by 'Wicked wonderland' 15 years later. in 2016, the most recent album'Time Capsule'' was released. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the award of a Certified Guitar Legend.
