Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised in an ethnically mixed family. The mother of her child is English and her father Nigerian. Her family was lived in a housing estate run by the council south of London. In the ages of fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art was where she received an acting BA. In her time at the school, she performed in numerous stage plays, like King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe got her start in acting through a short film called Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe landed her first motion picture in the 2007 Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. In the following year she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the part of Bambi in the ITV2 show drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl, appearing in episodes two and three. Madekwe was also a part of the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her credits in the theatre include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009 when she appeared on her drama The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes before it was cancelled on The CW. In February of 2011 she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe was a regular on the ABC drama series Revenge during two seasons. In May 2013 that she was set to be leaving the series following an appearance in the initial series of the 3rd. In the TV series Salem in 2014, she portrayed Tituba between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe married her actor partner Iddo goldberg on June 2012. They've collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl in the past, and Goldberg is also a part of the cast on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. Her parents, Roy and Patty, as well as her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's brothers were athletic and played baseball in summer and hockey in the winter. Ashley was unable to walk, but could dance. This led to the fact that when she turned 2 She discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley was addicted to dance from that moment. Ashley participated in the top divisions of tap, jazz hip hop, ballet Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre as well as pointe until the time she completed in high school. She won the top soloist at each of the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
